Range report
Finally got the chance to take the Beretta Neos .22 out to the range this weekend. Mounted a Sig red-dot scope on it that I bought from a friend. I put 450 rounds through it(Remington Viper's, Remington Thunderbolts, CCI Blazer's, CCI Velociter's, CCI Stinger's, and Federal blue box. Was really happy with the cycling and had 0 malfuctions, even when I loaded all 6 mags and rapid-fired the 60 rounds. Was very happy with that. I can't even say the same about my Ruger 22/45. Was also pretty happy with the trigger pull. I was a little disappointed with accuracy, not quite as good as my Ruger. It is definitely acceptable, but I am hoping it gets a little better the more I get it broke in and find the ammo it likes best. In the end I am very happy with this little pistol and it should serve it's intended purpose very well(a good little squirrel/plinking gun).

Took out the Remington 1911 I purchased awhile ago. I think this one might be a good one. Only one failure while my nephew was shooting it. Ran about 60 rounds through it. It was nice. Have I finally found a 1911 that performs well out of the box[?] 0 -
Interesting. Bought my girlfriend one a little while back and haven't had any problems with it. Dang thing shoots really good and for $90 I am not going to complain. What exactly is wrong with the bolt if I may ask?

Well for one I don't like how their designed. You have to put the bullet into the feed end of the barrel (not sure what the correct name for it is). I'm used to rifles being able to just set the bullet into the chamber and the bolt sliding it home.
Then my daughter started complaining that the bolt would not go down. I tried it and sure enough it was stuck. Once I got to looking at it I noticed that the roll pin had come partially out. I got to tinkering with it and it just slips out way to easily, not a tight fit at all. I know I can fix this, but It annoys me I'm having to modify the damn gun when it's brand new.
A little later on the bolt would not go down agian. This time it wasn't the roll pin in the bolt assembly like last time. I took the round out and it would go down. I never did figure it out because it was extremely hot outside and I lost my patience with it and we left.
Another thing I didn't care for was the peep sights. I'm not a fan of these and I'm not accurate at all with them. I just have never had the proper training on them I suppose since I just used V style sights on shotguns and rifles due to living on bear country.
The last thing that annoyed me is I talked to the gun store that runs the shooting range about tossing a scope on it. He said since the gun wasn't all that common he would have to rig it up. Now I don't trust these folks at the gun store much and they don't really know much about their business in my opinion, but they were wanting more then what I payed for the gun to begin with just to mount a scope on it.
When compared to the Marlin 60 I had as a kid this gun just came up seriously lacking. When I have problems with feeding a bolt action gun I'm just seriously not impressed.
I'm going to do some searching and see if I can find some youth stocks for a couple Marlin 60's and get a pair of Walthers for my daughters for their Christmas presents I think.0 -
Well that settles it, my daughter is starting on a Desert Eagle .50AE! 0 -

I believe that would entitle you to hate them[:D]. I will agree that they are definitely not comparable to a Marlin Model 60 or Ruger 10-22. My very first gun was a Marlin 60, which I unfortunately don't have anymore[:(]. Loved that gun.
