Top Ten COMFORT Rifles ?
I don't agree with the top ten combat rifles - so, just curious,
.... what would your top (ten, one, three, doesn't matter)
COMFORT RIFLES be?
Which do you find yourself shooting more than others you could
choose from?
Mine, no particular order:
Son's M4
M1
Krag Carbine
Guide SS
03-A3 I sporterized as a kid.

Carl Gustav 1894 6.5 x 55 Carbine
There's one I always wanted to own.
Instead I bought a Chilean '95 and
cut it down into a rifle scabbard
carbine that I used for Javilina
as a kid/teenager.
Finally shot a 6.5 x 55 Carbine at the
range about 40 years later - really like it
- should have picked one up when they were
$19.95/mail order

It was my oldest son's first rifle. They are sweet to shoot and very accurate.0 -
My model 67.
It's usually in the truck, ammo's cheap and it hits what I want it to, sometimes, it seems, with no help from me.0 -

Although I shoot a variety of rifles, my favorite is my M1A. I have recently upgraded to a
Springfield Armory M21.

AK-47. nice, warm fuzzy feeling. I just LUV AK-47's. seriously.
not too sure of hitting what I'm aiming at, but we're not talking about that...0 -
I like the recoil too. not sharp at all. 0 -

For comfort, plinking and fun and accuracy I find I've been shooting more 223 than anything ... a little 7.62x39 and now that I have a shell plate for the 5.7 my PS-90 shoots, it'll be seeing more trigger time.
Favorites in no paticular order:
AR's ... of all configurations
AK's ... of all configurations
Steyr AUG
SiG-556
Daewoo AR110C & DR200

I also get a lot of satisfaction & enjoyment from shooting 22's which is good since because Abby is starting to shoot I'll probably find myself on the rimfire range more than ever before [^]
Marlin 39A
Henry Goldenboy
H&R M-12
Sears Ranger .22 (a future Abby rifle)
and of course, the Ruger 10/22
All time favorite is a gun I built from Bushmaster, DPMS, JP Enterprise and other select premimum parts ... my son has already called "dib's" on it [;)]

M1 (Universal) single-spring carbine. Yes, I know, it's a Universal. But I swapped out the Univ. fcg w/new USGI. No collector value, but I don't have a beater, either. All new parts. For my bedside.
M14 (clone). Use it to ding coyotes at night. See my sig. line.
Colt SAA .45. Nickel. 4 3/4 barrel. White grips. Mfd. 1912. Went to ElPaso saddlery, and got the General Patton rig. Same Co. that made Patton's.
Best, Joe0 -
I'm most proficient and comfortable with my AR. It's also my most practical rifle, being I could use it to hunt with if need be or for protection should there be any "civil unrest".
