Springfield (Savage ) 67H - what to do?
I had an employee hard up for cash and trying to pawn his 12 gauge Springfield, Model 67H pump shotgun. Nobody would give him more than $25.00 for it.
I had never heard of this shotgun so I researched it and told him I might give him $50.00 if it was in good shape. He assured me it was but had a chip in the stock.
WRONG - 1/2 the stock split off, barely able to pump the action because it's so filthy (I suppose). I was going to back out of the deal entirely but he really needed cash, so I gave him $35.00 for it and he was very grateful. I decided it was better than "loaning" an employee cash.
I don't suppose anyone has a stock laying around for this shotgun?[:o)]
This just might be a giveaway when I reach 1,000 posts. I may post a picture tomorrow even if the topic is on page ten by then.

Don't have an extra stock booger, but the last one of these I fixed I got the stock from Numrichs. Depending on where the safety is located on your particular model, they have stocks for as low as $7 for the push button safety. If yours has the tang safety then they have one for around $25, if I remember correctly.

WOW, encouraging, that's cheap, it does have the push button safety, although it seems to be stuck, arrgghhh.

If it's got the push button safety, get the $7 stock from Numrichs, disassemble, clean thoroughly then reassemble and you'll have a funtioning 12ga. pump for around $50. Can't beat that. Good luck.[8D]
