SOT killing...a good one.
Man got drunk tried to torch his ex-wifes' car at a bar in Tulsa called..oddly..."Torchy's"..
Fleeing to an apartment complex, he held the police at bay for hours...breaking the glasses out of windows and poking the barrel of a rifle out the window.
Finally...in his no kidding best 007 style..said perp swept aside a curtain and sprang into view, no shirt on (he shined like a diamond in a goats az)throwing to his shoulder a 'rifle' and aiming down into the parking lot.It apperared to me he was sorta 'counting coup'..with little jerks of the barrel like he was shooting. He never fired a shot.
A single shot..or so reported..dumped him on his second story balcony...dead.
The rifle..first reported as a sniper rifle...now has morphed into a "fifty caliber rifle"..
It appeared to be a black powder...with see-thru rings.
Still deadly, for all that.
Naturally, the media, with our very best interests at heart, didn't show the bullet impact...cutting away a split second before perp gets hit.
Too bad. A little reality would pay dividends, in my humble opinion.
Tonight they admitted that it was, indeeed, a Black Powder rifle.."But he didn't have any powder for it". Big deal.

I've been to the Torchy's in Sands Springs. I think there is one in Broken Arrow also. Nice bar. We mostly go to Scarlets on 15 Str.or Blues City. The local news today was calling this a suicide by cop incident. 0
