Which can push the heavier bullet to the greatest speed?

I shoot 395gr lead out of my 460. Don't know how fast, nor do I know anything about the Ruger. That's as much in a handgun as I care to handle. Plus I can shoot .45LC and 454 Casull out of it on those heavy flow days.

The .460 edges out the .480...and is a Cannon.

.480 has more pop but less bullet variations/.460 still will rock whatever you hit and you can shoot .454Casull and .45Colt....very versatile

The .460 will easily outperform the .480. I'm not sure how long the .480 is going to be around. I believe that even Ruger has dropped their own caliber from it's lineup(could be wrong though). It just hasn't caught on with a lot of people.
