Why do you( like )or (not like) glocks?

I own a few and they work great.Carry concealed fantastic.Whats the deal?

  I like them but think that the ones with the lighter triger pull weights should be used very carefully and/or by someone well-versed in their handling and operation. Both of my sons and I tend to shoot them well and faster than other handguns in the same calibers but it would be nice to have an external safety, especially when you need to holster one. I have a friend that had an AD when placing one into his jacket pocket shortly after they first started arriving in the USA.

  pros: pretty accurate, durable
  cons: ergonomics, pretty ugly

  The grip is at the wrong angle. (For me) they do NOT have a natural point of aim. Don't want a gun that I have to "adjust" every time I try to hit the target. And I don't like that thingy in the trigger, made my finger sore the first time I took mine to the range.

  I do not like the ergonomics, funny grip angle and grips feel liek a 2x4.
  1911s, Beretta and Sig all work for me much better

  I don't like Glocks. Not to say that if I were issued one, I would feel poorly armed, but there are LOTS of other guns I would rather have. My reasons?
  
  1. Plastic frame. Plastic is OK for grips, not frames.
  
  2. History of K-BOOM. Plastic frame has a lot to do with it. Case head separations don't generally destroy other guns.
  
  3. I don't like the trigger. Can't seem to stay on target all the way through the pull.
  
  4. It needs a thumb safety. I understand that Glock has put thumb safeties on their guns on special order, but it should be universal.
  
  5. Plastic sights unless you order night sights. Sights should be made of steel.
  
  6. Mags on some guns won't drop when you punch the release. This is a no-brainer and drop-free mags should be standard and expected on any defensive pistol.
  
  7. I don't like the takedown, and can never get the slide in just the right position to operate the ridiculously tiny takedown device.
  
  8. I have never picked up a Glock that fit me well.
  
  9. Nearly every time in the last 10 years I have read of a police officer's gun being discharged when he or she didn't intend it to, it was a Glock.
  
  Lots of people like them, but I don't.

  I took a chance when I bought mine. There was a third generation G20 listed on GB last year that was very lightly used with a "Buy it Now" of $350. I figured, what the heck. If I don't like it, I'll just put it back up for sale. Until I got it, I had never shot or handled a Glock. It is ugly, but the price was right and I wanted a 10mm. Mine is pretty darn accurate. No jams or failures. Unlike most everyone else here, the grips fit my hand just fine[:)]
