    Side by side refrigerator freezers generally have the vents near the bottom....while top freezer units have the vents just below the freezer department.

    Regardless, unless someone has abrogated the laws of physics, cold air sinks, so all other things being equal, your coldest spot in the refrigerator will be the bottom, hence the vegetable and meat drawers down there....

    In theory this is true, But is not always the case in some refrigerators.

    I am a appliance technecian by trade and i have seen a lot of weird stuff through the years.
