Anybody have one or know someone who does? How do you like it?

    My friend has one in .338 ultramag. The only problem he has had is the trigger pull was about 8 lbs. Had it adjusted and now shoots good.

    BTW, I am looking at the .375 H&H.

    Sold one in .300 Win Mag that shot .5 MOA at 200 yards with FACTORY Ammo right out of the box...they are shooters.

    I have not been happy with ANY of the new offerings from Remington, the quality control as been beyond lacking for the past year. I currently have around 300 Remingtions on hand so I'm not just talking about one or two guns. I have been very happy with the new offerings from CZ, if you are looking for a great .375 H&H you really should take a good look at the CZ 550.

    I have given CZ a thought, but it just doesn't seem to fit what I am looking for. I have looked at them and talked to some people about them and they seem to be great guns, but I am looking for something that doesn't weigh a ton(the big reason I was looking at the Remington) and preferably stainless steel. Any other suggestions MK 19?

    What weight requirement in a rifle are you looking for? Ideal rifle weight for me is subjective. Many writers claim light/mountain rifles from 6-pounders to a min of 10 pounds for the shoulder pounders like .375 H&H.

    When I am out hunting, my rifle in .300WM (not sure of the weight) is fitted with a Harris bipod that extends to 36", 4-14x40 scope, leather sling, quick discharge muzzle brake, 3 rounds of 180g in the magazine + 9 spare on a buttstock carrier. In addition, I carry a dayback with food and water, first aid and survival kit, extra clothes, etc... In all, I am probably carrying around 30+ pounds of gear hunting the mountain wilderness of Montana. Yes, it does feel like a ton after a hard day's hunt. I guess I must be doing OK because I am still doing it.

    I am not the most physically fit but I do my share of physical conditioning all year.

    I usually do not look at the weight of a rifle as a deciding factor, i look at the performance that package can bring. If you are dead set on a light .375 H&H you could always look at a T/C Encore. now that is a light and compact shooter that will deliver the goods.

    Now that might not be a bad idea. I forgot about them. Might have to consider an encore.
