Seecamp 32 - UPDATE & QUESTION
UPDATE:
Got my new "toy" yesterday and wanted to know what, if any, special steps I should take to prep this little jewel for its first trip to the range?
Truth-be-told, the instruction booklet that came with it is very spartan and weak on that particular subject.
I bought two boxes of Federal Hydra-Shoks since no SilverTips were available in the three stores I visited, but Seecamp says that the Federals are OK to use along with Speer Gold Dots and Fiocchi. I'm looking into getting a box of Q4255 (SP?) for some less expensive practice as well.
Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Aside from the difference in price between them, in your opinion which is the better investment AND more enjoyable to pocket carry and shoot at the range? We're talking .32 ACP and I don't want another Kel-Tec and my wife already has the Tomcat.
I hear that Seecamps are still pretty ammo-specific unlike the Guardian BUT I also hear that the Seecamp is smoother and has a better trigger.

What price difference?
Seecamp is smaller, lighter, has a better trigger, mag release where it should be.
NAA has cool grips.
For my money I go with the original, not the copy.

I understand that the Seecamp is harder to takedown. Nonetheless I would be happy to swap my Guardian for a Seecamp. I have been thinking of getting the meltdown on my Guardian & I hate to pay $100 to get the gun the way it should have been made in the beginning.
The difference in size & weight may not be much but they are still advantage Seecamp.0 -

I've never shot a Guardian, however, I own both a Seecamp and a Tomcat.
The Tomcat turned to be lemon from the get go. It suffered from multiple feeding and ejection problems, to a frame fracture beyond the warranty cover period. I strongly advise against Tomcat.
Seecamps enjoy their own cult following. In fact, a Seecamp LWS .32 ACP is my everyday carry gun. It's simply a well made piece of machinery and is even frequently compared to a Rolex watch! Some may say that it is ammo specific. Well of course it is! It was designed strictly for self defense and around a specific cartridge: the Winchester Silvertip. It will only feed premium hollowpoints and no ball ammo whatsoever. I can live with that.
Sometimes, concealability and not caliber is the issue. Both Seecamp and Guardian are excellent CCW pieces, however, when it comes to size and weight, Seecamp has the advantage:

The Seecamp is one sweet little backup pistol. Its so nice I don't carry it that often, so I carry my Kel-tec 380. I would hate to lose my Seecamp in the event of a shooting but the Kel-tec is much cheaper and easy to replace.
It took me four years of waiting to get my Seecamp and $450 plus the price of three clips and the FFL fee of another $50. So I would be a sad puppy if I lost that little "Rolex" of a pistol.[:0][:0]0 -

I am a little late in this thread. But I have 2 LWS 32 and a LWS 380. I recommend them without reservation.
In response to your update. You can clean and lightly lube prior to going to the range if you want to. It is not necessary.
Just buy bullets and load and shoot.
You should join the Seecamp forum for lots of good info. Larry Seecamp posts on the forum daily.

Congrats on your Seecamp. Mine was my first Gunbroker purchase, about 2 years ago. If its new, just go out and shoot it. No need to clean or lube it. Works great right out of the box.
I shot 50 rounds of Silvertips the first time out. No problems, very reliable but IMO, not really a pleasurable gun to shoot/plink with. Not what it was designed for.
I don't know if it was me but I had a hard time punching holes in the target at 10 and even at 7 yards. Don't "limp wrist" it.

Thanks for the info stevec22. As a matter of fact, just the other day, Larry himself emailed me back in answer to my question at the LWS site and said just load it and shoot it. Wow! I thought for sure that I was going to have to disassemble it, clean it, lubricate it, etc. BEFORE I went to the range. Unbelievable!
To me, it makes a very powerful statement about how LWS delivers their firearms as opposed to another American manufacturer, Kahr, who shipped my special order PM9 straight from the factory with all sorts of polymer flash and gunk in it. I had to spend two hours cleaning and lubing it BEFORE I fired the first round.0 -
