Savage Rifle Packages

What scopes and rings come on the Savage Rifle packages? I know that their .22's and .17's come with Simmons scopes, but what do their larger calibers(.308, etc.) come with? Simmons as well?

  The only one I currently have on the shelf is a preAccutrigger and it has a Simmons with vertically split nonquick detachable rings. I've reused some of these rings after they were replaced with different sets and they seem to hold ok and they are light and compact. I used them on 1022's with weaver type bases so there isn't a lot of strain on them but they worked well for that.

  Stay away from the package deal. Get the rifle and equip it with better rings and optics. Good luck!

  I seen one a while back chambered for the .308 win, it had a Simmons 8 Point scope on it.(Im 99%sure) Which is a lower grade of Simmons scope's.

  As usual, thanks for the replies and input fellas. As you probably guessed, I am almost certain that I am going with the Savage .338(if you remember my other thread) and saw that they had some package deals.
