Gun Topic...Which would you choose....

I've whole heartedly decided on a 308 for my next rifle. It will be on the range mostly, but for long range coyote and varmint as well.

The FN SBR's are a little out of my price range.

I'm planning on putting an 8-32x56 or 5.5-22x50 Nightforce on it.

Which would be your choice, price is a factor, and why?

    I'd go with the Savage. I handled one at my local gunshop yesterday when I picked up my model 10. Those 12F's just feel right when you nuzzle up to them, and the accu-trigger is great

    I'd choose the Kel Tec .308 bullpup 26" stainless steel target version (34" overall length)- even though it wasn't a choice and is probably alot more expensive.
    Or you could get it in a 32" barrel if you really like long barrels

    If you want a range rifle, check out the "Bench" Ruger 77 MKII , comes in a variety of calibers. I have it in 223 and It is one of the best rifles I own as far as accuracy..

    CZ550 hands down, their extremley accurate, very well built. For the money it cant be beat. But there's some other nice rifles there. Good Luck.

    As much as I love the tikka's, I can't stand the Add-On look to the stock. The weight is also wrong for true long range work.

    The CZ's are great for accuracy, but the trigger lacks when compaired to the Accutrigger.

    So of course my choice would be the Savage 12 F/TR, with the 6oz "target" model accutrigger. It is the only rifle in this selection that was built as a Benchrest gun, all of the others are varmit rifles. Plus, if you have the oppertunity in your area you can try your hand at shooting F Class Benchrest/Tactical Rifle, after all, thats what the gun was designed to do and the reason it's called a F/TR. Plus do to F/TR class shooting at 1000 yards you will need all of the power that nightforce can give you.

    Thats a toughy, really don't think that you can go wrong with any of the rifles pictured. If it were "me" I would personally go with the Laminated CZ. I personally like their trigger setup and love the looks of that rifle. The Savage is a little out of my price range and althought Tikka rifles are great rifles, I prefered them before Beretta bought them out.
