Custody battle done
The short story is that we won. My wife and I now have sole legal and sole physical custody of my son. The "X" lasted 12 min. of listening to me testify before she interrupted, trying to object. She only caused a scene. The Judge wasn't amused and gave a 5 min. recess so that the "X" could agree to our parenting plan. My attorney put her on the stand and she said "yes" it's in her son's best interest to live with me. That had to hurt, dumb bitch. Oh, what a day. She went from getting a nice child support check to having to pay child support. That's going to leave a mark.
My son missed an average of three days of school a month for the last 3 years. In the eight months he been with us he's missed zero and that includes summer school. He has always had poor grades until he moved in with my wife and I. He was on the honor roll at the end of 5th grade and he had only gone for 5 months. He finished summer school and was paid by the school for not missing a day. Sixth grade has been good except some minor talking concerns so far. I can't take all the credit for this as most of it belongs to my wonderful wife. She was called a Saint by the Judge after the hearing was over. I couldn't of done any of it without her.[:D]
His health and spirit is so much better. Except when he comes home from a visit w/his moms. Then usually there is a little deprogramming until things get back to normal. That evil woman.[:(!]
Sorry for the short rant, but I haven't been talking about this for obvious reasons. Good day all, it's been pretty good here so far.[:D]

Very good! I'm glad to hear the child officially and legally has a stable environment to live in! 0 -
Good for you! I know first hand what it is like to go trough a custody battle, and it isn't fun. But with an outcome like yours it's all worth it.[;)]
I won custody of my daughter when she was 3 years old. She lived with me and my wife until she was 12 and decided to go back to live with her mom. That hurt, but what are you going to do.[:(]0 -

Ginmaster ,I like hearing a good ending to a story, good for you man.
Sith Lord, I feel for you...that must have really hurt. But she loves her dad. [:)]0 -
Ginmaster; the price to be a good father is high but well worth it. My sons mother is worthless, she was never a true mother. I raised them as a single father the best I knew how. Both have turned out to be very fine young men. She caused a lot of problems when they were young and deprogramming became a constant chore.
The result is well worth the effort.
Bless you and your family!0 -
Good job. Glad to hear there are still good parents out there looking after the future leaders of our country. [^][^] Not often do we hear positive stories concerning kids. Only bad ones. Keep him on the straight and narrow and in sports and shooting. It can only help.......but also give him his head and let him lead at times. Too tight a rein can hurt. [:)][:)]
