They are charging a $250 fuel surcharge here on Guam....even tho they have a contract with shell to provide fuel at contract costs....no matter how high fuel costs git.
We have one air con unit, a hot water heater, 3 tv's, and 2 computers.

One thing that is good about our house is the cooling costs. I have huge shade trees on three sides of the house.
Our AC was on for probably 28 days last month, house maintained at 73 degrees when it's mid 90's outside. Electric bill was $90.
Now, the winter on the other hand.....heating costs are around $300/mo.0 -
For me, Free!

My friend in VA has average $50/month costs. Virginia is not de-regulated, MD is.
Of course he is single, keeps the house at 75 and has a 1200 sq foot rambler - that helps. We have 3600 sq ft colonial, family of 4 and keep the A/C at 71.0 -

Still have an electric dryer but plan to go to a Propane, average a load of laundry every day. (Wash the work clothes as soon as I get home or they stink)
When I moved in I put all spiral energy efficient bulbs. I think that helped me a little.0 -

$237.19. We have electric appliances, but gas heating and water heaters. So far, with the rain here in East Texas it has been a little cooler than the average for this time of year (so much for global warming), so the bills have been somewhat lower. Also, the house is well insulated. 0 -
just droped the check off, $221.55 0 -

Ruger,......I was joking, as I know what you do for work. Nothing much smells worse than fish left to set.
I strip down just from sweating when I come in most times, but when I go on one of my Gulf fishing trips, the fiance' almost makes me strip in the yard![8D]0 -
Last month was $93 and that was with the central air running at least two weeks of the time frame. Our place is insulated very well, has double pane windows and is not too big. We both sold the big houses with all the maint headaches and downsized into a condo for retirement.
It has a hot water heat system and it only runs about $100 per month in the coldest months. Nice place!0 -
$37.98 for 31 days in MI. So far the summer has been cool. That will change. 0 -
I do not pay any utility bills. Don 0 -
