No. He won, his money, and the Bible rates "charity" as the supreme virtue of a Christian. I might not agree with what the Red Cross eventually does with the funds, but Johnson's heart is in precisely the right place.

"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing."

That would fall into the category of "things the Red Cross might eventually do that I don't agree with." Doesn't change that it was a noble gesture on Johnson's part. I suspect his credit in Heaven is better than that of those who sit around brooding on reasons for not being charitable.

Before anyone thinks I'm a fan -- I'm assuming, based on the mention of Kyle Petty, that we're talking about NASCAR. [?] I actually have no idea who Jimmy Johnson is -- other than an obviously good man.

First of all leave me say the American Red Cross is not a Govt. entity. Hunger does not a color.

I support the American Red Cross and Jimmie is a good man for donating his winnings.
