    Thanks for all the info you all have posted. Especially the link you posted bama55. The link mentioned a brass piece inlayed in the butt stock of the gun. Mine does not have that. Guess the stock has been replaced? It also mentioned the barrel band about halfway of the barrel. Mine does not have that either.

    Any ideas to these variations?

    You have a replacement sporter stock.

    Thanks again for all the info. So, does the value go down b/c of the stock being replaced with the sporter stock?

    What kind of accuracy and range should I expect from this gun?

    As with any sporterized military rifle, value goes down.

    Also, the bolt has been turned down.

    I'm not knocking your rifle, still a fine weapon.
