Calf Questions.
My 91 year old neighbor's cow just had twin bull calves. How soon can I band them? Thanks in advance for any help.

As soon as they hit the ground. 0 -
Thanks Sarge. They get pretty unmanagable right away. 0 -
When I was a kid, dad use to do it the hard way and wait until they were 300 pounds. You would have to run the whole herd in sort off the calves, get the vet out to cut the bulls and treat them all. After we left home, he wised up and as soon as they hit the ground he would band the bulls, and give them their shots , and tagged their ears. Worked good for a guy who's hired hands grew up and left home.[:D] 0 -
Don't. Wait til they're weaned and cut them. 0 -
