If the cruiser sank on July 30th, 15 minutes after midnight, what day and time was it in Washington DC ?

  I think it was 10:15 PM July 29th DC time (Eastern War Time).
  
  You know that the Indy carried one of the Atomic bombs to Tinian, for the 309th Composite Group didn't you ??
  
  And also, that the 309th was the organization involved in the Roswell incident ??

  14 hours difference between Japan Standard Time and Eastern Standard time today.

  Well, I was in a branch of the Navy in N.C. around that time and was wondering what I was doing during the sinking and aftermath. I know that I met "Lou Diamond" on that last monday in July,1945 and it was a forgetable expeirance. With the international date line and "war time" and not finding out about the Navy coverup til way after the war it kept me wondering what day all tha misery started.
