Ive been here a little more than a year. It took some time "to get to know the Mods" and their personalities. Seems to me the newest Mod has an itchy poofing finger, and seems alittle bit too gungho..Soooo, The question is: Have there been people assigned to the title of Moderator and subsequently had that title removed?

I see the "should homosexuals be allowed post" got locked.

But I posted and answer to jpwolf's post.

He states that homosexuality is learned, a choice or lifestyle, if you will, and that it can be "unlearned".

I say it is inate, you are born gay, and that's that. You can't change that fact.

    waht do YOU think

Please, leave the Bible verses and the religion bashing at the door, I just want a simple answer, so this will not get locked or poofed.

got a question on the sure shot bullets. I have a few that someone gave me for a 9mm. Basically just a little shotgun type of bullet (w/ little bb's in it) I haven't fired one through it because...well I just don't won't it to mess up my gun. Have any of you guys shot one through one of your guns?

Why does the US has so many bases out in the world? Germany, Japan, Greenland or is it Iceland, Korea (I understand. unfinished business) and others. Is it because of N.A.T.O.? If so why aren't there British bases in US? Or even a French base in California [:D]?

To me it basically reminds me of Roman days but globally. I just don't see the need to keep occupying places like in Okinawa. I mean Korea is just up a ways and there is a reason for being there.

So if someone would be kind to let me know why I'd be greatful [;)].

The Bundy ranch situation and the supportive
    militia:

Does anyone think that "new ground" has been crossed?
Might this be a concrete turning point
    in govt/common citizen relations?

Q: You are sitting behind the wheel in a car keeping a constant speed, on your left side there is an abyss. On your right side you have a fire engine and it keeps the same speed as you. In front of you runs a pig, larger than your car. A helicopter is following you, at ground level. Both the helicopter and the pig are keeping the same speed as you. What will you need to do to be able to stop?

    Please scroll down.

    (A) Get out of the car, step down from the merry-go-round and leave your seat to someone younger. The children's merry-go-round in the amusement park is primarily for the younger children..

Some people asked me to move this question from ask the experts.I was asking what was thought of the Colt 1991 A1.i got very few replies and they were all positive.I have seen other people ask about thoughts on different firearms and they got several pos. and neg. answers about the firearm.I posted the ? twice and got only a few answers all pos. Most any weapon has faults that someone doesnt like.Thats what I would like to hear.I am not looking for 100 answers just a small crossview.Maybe posters on this site like colts so much they wont say neg things about them. There has got to be something someone doesnt like about them and that could be a reason for me not to buy.

This has never happened before (but I also have not shot this gun very much).

I just went and took a few shots with my Taurus 851 (hidden hammer) .38 special.

On 2 occasions it hung up like the internal trigger lock was engaged.

I need advise on this as this is my summer time carry gun and I do not want this to happen in an emergency situation.

Does this need to go back to Taurus?

When do we finally say its a UN problem let them handle it. How much money does the USA give the UN so they can do something.

Want to tell me if this is not the UN's job, what their job is.

How do I find out what Gun laws are in Virgina? So that I can purchase a hand gun. I would like to get a 22 Remington Rifle. To replace my old gun that I don't have anymore. I know, I would have to find a FFl dealer, and fill out whole bunch of paper work. Can anyone help me?

I showed a couple of days ago that they are Exempt at least their health care plan is.

quote:Rather than listing "many" exemptions, Fund pointed only to page 114. That section stated that individuals who buy their own insurance and small firms (size to be determined) would be eligible to participate in state-based exchanges, which would offer a range of health insurance plans for purchase. Those who already get insurance through Medicare, Medicaid, the military's Tricare insurance program, or the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program wouldn't be eligible. All federal employees, including members of Congress, fall under the FEHBP. Those who have coverage from a large employer wouldn't be eligible, either, unless their coverage didn't meet minimum benefits criteria or was deemed to be unaffordable.

I just read the thread that Saxon locked and a question popped into my head:

Why is it that we can't talk about rival sales sites (that much I understand) AND problems with GunBroker auction side on this site?

The logic running through my head dictates that because this site is run by GunBroker, they wouldn't object to questions/issues being posted here. In fact, they should start a forum board just for that purpose.

The DOJ announces they will have a investigation on the Ferguson Police dept but why. Holder never held hearing on Things like Fast and Furious, Mexican army shooting at Americans and ICE agents, IRS so why Fergusion.

Is he doing anything or charging the looters and the instigators that destroyed millions of dollars in that city. Not one thing done to the race baiters that flooded the city to cause havoc with the citizens and law enforcement and why did law enforcement stand down and let the looters run wild to destroy innocent peoples livelihood should be the question

just a passing thought over the weekend while the wife and I were canning and freezing some food . while using one of the vacuum packing seal a meal or whet eve they are called machines . I thought why not ammo or a firearm
do any of you store ammo or guns in such a manner , seemed like it would work for the ammo , I keep mine in the standard ammo cans with a dry pack tossed in for good measure , but sealing them in the plastic bag looked like a good long term way to keep it ( I do not have enough to worry about it but if I happen up on a huge 22 lr horde (LOL on that happening )
    what do you say

A forearm across the throat doesn't really count as a punch, does it? I've been three years since I actually punched anybody, and I really don't think this should count.

    Peace

I've been retired sinc Oct of 2011
and while it's great I miss something.
I've finally discovered what it is.
I miss the banter and discussions we had at
work. You know, the talk about current events
    and such.
My wife and I talk, always have, but when you
talk with guys at work that you've built a bond with over
the past 30+ yrs, you can talk "filthy, if you will" and
I couldn't do that at home.
There are no boundarys except personal ones and I
    miss that,no matter what subject.
I certainly have plenty around here to do.
The barn needs fixing, (we just moved in last year)
most of the doors were installed by someone who didn't
have a level or cared to square them up.
Do you ever get over the need for conversation
    with the boys?
    ron
