How long?
Just curious as to how long everyone thinks this war will last. Obviously longer than a week, but given stiffening Iraqi resistance and the really bad weather, how much longer?
A few items in our favor are:
(1) Air superiority. We have it, they don't.
(2) Technological superiority.
(3) A better supply situation. They're blockaded and we're not.
A few items in their favor:
(1) Urban combat favors the defender.
(2) When you have nothing to lose, no holds are barred.
(3) Our supply lines are growing dangerously thin and are relatively lightly defended making them prime targets for guerilla strikes. And guerilla warfare sucks. Just ask Hitler or Napoleon.
In my opinion we will win. It's just a matter of time. My question is how much time will it take?

How long would it take to go around the world. Wife is doing a paper for school on bio-warfare and a question arose how long it would take for a person to go around the world speading a disease or deadly virus.

A guy stuck his head into a barber shop and asked: 'How long before I can get a haircut?'
The barber looked around the shop full of customers and said: 'about 2 hours'. The guy left.
A few days later the same guy stuck his head in the door and asked: 'How long before I can get a haircut?'
The barber looked around at the shop and said: 'About 3 hours.' The guy left.
A week later the same guy stuck his head in the shop and asked: 'How long before I can get a haircut?'
The barber looked around the shop and said: 'About an hour and half.' The guy left.
The barber turned to a friend and said: 'Hey, Bill, do me a favor. Follow that guy and see where he goes.
He keeps asking how long he has to wait for a haircut, but then he doesn't ever come back.'
A little while later, Bill returned to the shop, laughing hysterically.
The barber asked: 'So where does that guy go when he leaves?'
Bill looked up, tears in his eyes and said: 'Your house.'0 -
