Why dont we have a jerky contest. Everyone who wants to enter their jerky for judgement should contact me and send me a sample. The judge really like venison.

Mines the best! (I'm very modest) Beef or deer. Want my recipe? No soaking, no preservitives (salt peter). It's actually smoked/dried. Make it on the spot at camping sites. Hunters bring me meat just to do theirs after having it done by others.OOPs- Got a call-be back! 0 -

Buy any type of marinade you like.Cut your meat in 3/8"x3/8"x6"strips.Mix your meat and marinade in a bowl let stand overnight.next day set oven at 115 degrees lay meat on oven rack.leave door open and forget about for about 8 to 15 hours all depends on how you like your jerky..I have mine in for about 10. Dad keeps his in until crisp 15 hours 0 -
