MOUNT CLEMENS, MICHIGAN (AP) -- A Macomb County woman convicted of shooting at the tires of a pickup truck in an apparent road rage incident was sentenced today to two and a half years imprisonment.

Bernadette Headd was found guilty in June of charges including assault with a dangerous weapon. The Macomb Township resident was ordered to spend six months in the county jail and the remainder of her sentence in prison.

The charges stem from a February incident on Interstate 94 in Harrison Township, near Mount Clemens. Headd claimed she felt threatened after a New Baltimore man began tailgating her.

She told jurors she fired a warning shot into a grassy median to ward him off.

Does this happen to you? You're driving down the road, and somebody
behind passes you pulls right in front of you, puts on the turn signal
and turns right.Happened to me again today. She turned into a MacDonalds and went to the drive Thru.I guess she was awful hungry.

If someone fired a gun around any of my vehicles while on the road, I'd probably call the cops too. Let her rot.
