Stupid Drivers Make Me MAD
I just got back from a quick trip to town and at half the stop lights I got stopped at I had to wait once it turned green because some idiot went through a red light. You should be able to track these idiots down and beat some sense into them, or slash their tires so it will be a bit before they can drive. I feel better now that I vented.

Dude you have to give them time to move their foot to the gas, and not everyone wants to slam on the accelerator. there is a speed limit, so it cost you 10 seconds of you life, big deal [;)]
We actually slow down when infront of people who ride our rears.. Its funny, they get all jumpy.. Then when they pass you, speed up [:D][:D]0 -
i don't let into road rage, it can consume you, you will become the road police with no real authority but vigilante justice, i make a mistake i wave an apology, others make mistakes too, if we al got our asses beat for bad driving mistakes there would be need of more hospitals, and morgues
it's not like if you chase one down and and dispense a ass whooping the next will know about it, you'll be in an infinite loop of chasing people down till you loose0 -

there has been several cases people have not been pulled over with a formal challenge, but shot with no warning at the next stop light, or followed secretly, and ambushed, i don't care who you are what you got, there can always be a case you will not win
i was on 270 had a guy rear end me at 60 mph while on chain of rocks bridge, we pulled over assessed the damage, they guy got real smart alic with me, i hit him knocking him unconscious, he fell over the guardrail and down he bank about 20 feet, i ran down to make sure i didn't kill him, he woke up started trash talk again, so i put him back to sleep
i had just had surgery once, took the wife out to eat, as we where pulling out onto the road this gal in front of me was rifling through her purse, she missed several opportunities to go, i just pulled beside her, and went on into traffic, this pizzed her off for some reason, she did a burn out following me with her brights on very closely, i made a few turns to make sure she was being aggressive, and sure nuff she wasn't going to let it go, i found a secluded parking lot, she pursued, i stopped she come up to my window continuing to threaten me, and curse me, i looked at my wife, and said "take care of this", she got out, the gal said "what the f you going to do about it?", bam she got hit, taken down to the ground, her male companion got out so did i, i told him to stay back, he did, i leaned down ask my wife was she done, she got up leaving this woman a bloody mess on the concrete
now did ether one of them stop the next person?, no, both those where many years ago, i was lucky, i learned how fast it can get out of hand, sooner or later it may not go as planned, i just wave them on now, as much as i drive i see it happen all the time both parties involved look stupid ass hell0 -
One day, maybe 27 years ago, while in the evening rush hour commute from Long Beach (Compton, for those of you who know the area) to Pasadena, where I lived, I somehow all at once decided to stop getting angry at yo-yo drivers. I got behind one car, turned the stereo to a classical station, and motored peacefully home.
Since then I have not been angered by another driver on the road.
Had heart attacks, anyway.

I work fairly regularly at different times of the year in Honduras and El Salvador. Down there you don't see much road rage. Eight out of ten cars, maybe seven, have a gun in them so everyone knows what the outcome may be. Down there if you see a car going down a main thorofare at 75 per you just think, "That poor guy is late for work." I've seen many a driver in a slow line of cars drive up on the sidewalk, race down to the start of the line and cut in. Unbelieveable. When I come back up here, traffic stupidity doesn't bother me for weeks, then it starts to seep back in. I think what puts most people in a rage, is not the act itself, but the sheer stupidity of it. As Ernest Hemingway is said to, in later life, strike someone just because they were stupid. 0 -
If anyone has driven in Turkey or maybe even some other third world countries, you will see driving like you have NEVER seen in the states. I have been on the road from Ankara to Istanbul and rounded a down hill curve and there before you are three<yes, three buses coming at you. One in your lane, one in the proper lane, and one passing the other two on the outside median. BIG makes the right of way in Turkey. Tom 0 -

I'd be carefull what you wish for. There are some things that overcome a person no matter how big and tough you think they are. You just never know the mentality of that person that's acting a fool and what extreme they are willing to go to.
I used to get pretty bad road rage, but since I have two daughters now waiting on me I refrain and leave it at muttering to myself.0 -

Just yesterday (And I did call the Highway Patrol) A poor blind guy in a wheel chair trying to cross in the cross walk and 2 cars failed to yield
to him, and the poor guy almost got hit!
I was wishing to be a cop right there![:(!]0 -
I am a Cop in Florida and I am amazed almost evernight with the way people drive. "Not all" but most don't care about anybody else. They just want to get to where they are going. I have seen some real bad things that are still burned into my brain somewhere and some real funny things that i'll laugh about when im old. Poeple can mess up their whole life by doing something stupid or getting so damn mad because some jerk hole cut you off. Just laugh and call him what you want, but just drive on. You might be pissed off but he might be CRAZY and off his meds. Be safe please and yes I have checked that small box on the traffic citation that says Re-Exam.....a few times. Remember the on thing you can't FIX. (STUPID) Just joined this todays and like it. Be safe out there. 0 -
What they should do is have automatic spike strips that are activated when the red light comes on. 0 -

Grill mounted mini-gun - $$$$$$$$$$,

Can you explain the HEADLESS drivers? Or is that just an east coast phenomena? [:D]
Oh. Welcome.

Let's see ... a guy whose nick is FLYINGTORPEDO is ranting about other drivers running
red lights?
Why didn't you catch up with him and 'torpedo' the b*stard! LOL

Sorry - I just have an image of what I suggested.[:D][:D][:D]0 -
I REALLY like Bama's idea.[:D]
When I'm first in line I pretend that I'm John Force and the traffic light is my Christmas tree. Done stopped more than one in the middle of an intersection. Hit me, I need a new truck.0 -
My favorite driver is the one whose modus operandae is, when approaching a construction zone and the speed limit is decreasing due to two lanes being merged into one, will disregard the posted speed limits, fly to the front of the pack of cars, and then jam down into the merging lane just to get to the front of the pack.
I see this every morning. Usually the offending driver is either a middle-aged man in a sportscar, or a "soccer mom" in her SUV.
And why is there never a State Trooper there waiting?0 -
Isn't it funny how everyone thinks he's a good driver and everyone else is an idiot who shouldn't allowed within 100 ft of a motor vehicle?
How quick we are to forgive ourselves for our traffic mistakes. And then get mad and rant about other peoples.
I'm a professional truck driver and make my living driving. And as hard as I try to drive safely, I know I make traffic mistakes. I consider myself increadably LUCKY that I've managed a near spotless MVR.
All I can say is "Lighten up Francis". Keep a cool head and drive DEFENSIVELY. And remember that when you point the finger, you have 3 fingers pointing at you.[:)]0 -
Road rage is for pansies! 0 -
Speeders don't bother me as much because I can usually see them coming and act accordingly so as not to be endangered all that much. But red light runners are much more dangerous. It is not always easy to spot them, for various reasons, and so it would be fairly easy to pull out in front of one.
So, bottom line, a person purposely running a red light (the yellow is to warn people the light will soon turn red) don't care about the safety of their fellow citizens anymore than someone who would blindly fire a gun into or near a crowd of people. Both actions could kill and innocent, unsuspecting person (s).0 -

Yep, I see it too every morning. Like NASCAR, going 3 wide into a corner.0 -
Flying torpedo. The next mistake may be yours. You may receive the same sentiments you have sent others. 0 -
