sig or sprigfield

I was window shopping saturday and think i might get a new pistol. I was looking at a sig and an xd in .45 cal. Both within a $100.00 of eachother what should i go for? The xd feels good in my hand but the sig feels like it has a good balance to me.

  I really want an .40 XD but every time I save up my $ I buy another long gun.[:D] I put over 200 rounds through a buddies .45 XD about a month ago and I loved it. The SIGs don't fit my hand as well so I don't shoot them very well. If you are not familiar with the glock/xd trigger pull be sure to shoot one first, some people don't like them.

  Although the XD pistols are nice I would suggest the Sig. The P220 is a fantastic pistol and next to a 1911 in my opinion is the best 45 on the market. Go in to the shop and get the "feel" of them both and see which ones fits you the best.

  I have the SIG Pro 2340 and the XD...and while I love the XD, I'd go with the SIG...I like having an external hammer and being able to decock it.

  I agree. The sig 220 is one fine double action pistol. Next to the 1911 its my choice. But it has to be the one that fits you best and when its right its like a new pair of shoes that fit just right.

  My favorite pisol is by far my Sig Sauer P-220. Solid firearm in every aspect.

  I have a Sig, and I have evaluated and will soon be issued an XD. I far prefer the Sig, although the XD has a higher capacity...

  I have 2 Service Model XD's and their a great handgun, but you cant beat a SIG P-220.

  XD in 45acp will be my next pistol purchase. The Sig 220 feels nothing like a 1911 IMHO.
