Right now I'm still working on my new house. Still have alot of stuff at my old house. Started some school course again this year (which I'm aceing btw). Working alot for my dad. Driving for my grandpa alot latily. Winterized over 7 boats in 4 days. Putting a new top end on my jetski. Cutting wood every spare chance I get. Trying to potty train my 3year old son, and a 12 week old puppy at the same time. Having no luck with either.

I just want to say I'm so tried and fustrated. Had to get on my son again for playing in the dog food. He just won't listen to me anymore. I want to go to bed so bad, but if I do I'll get up early and I have to sleep in tomorrow, because I have to stay up late tomorrow night. I've been up since 6 am.

I feel like I'm about to break.

Sorry for the whining. This is just my type what ever came across my mind post.

    Traci.

Traci...drop me a line if you want too. You are doing great kid. If only half of America had the drive you've got...we'd be a different nation. You are doing good. I'm not after you...I might be if I was single[;)]...but that's not the case. Keep up the good work. If you need someone to talk too...or some encouragement, drop me a line.

Take care...you ladyfolk bring something to GB that cannot be otherwise replaced.[8D]

Traci...I can only hope (and pray) that my son's mother is half as strong as you. I don't know b/c I have no idea of where they are at...but I would take great comfort in knowing that he was in such capable hands. Keep your chin up girl.[:)]

I have to agree with Eric here. "If only 1/2 of America had your drive and motivation." There for a while I was averaging 110+hrs a week, trying to balance a social and married life and hunt all at the same time. Wore me down.

I used to work(resturant management) 9 hrs a day and have class for another 8. Not to mention, homework, class assignments, reports, and a dating/social life.

Glad I'm done with both of them. They take days/weeks/months off your life. Now I'm stuck in a swing shift which supposedly takes years off your life.

Please, for your own sake and that of your son's, take a break and enjoy life for a while. You don't want to wake up one day and wonder where your life went.

Don't apologize for your post. It feels good to let other people know how you feel.

Prioritize! That's my motto. I know the feeling of being overwhelmed. It feels like you are drowning but it will get better. Trust me. Our daughter is the most stubborn kid EVER. It took forever to get her potty trained. She's nine and we still can't keep her out of the dog food. You get used to it. You will get to the point where you will just let it roll of your back and not build up to the point of helplessness. Do you have someone to babysit for awhile? If you do, take an afternoon off and go for a drive or go sit in the woods somewhere. It works for me. Sometimes I'll drive to an old hangout in the H.N.F. overlooking a certain river and just sit and decompress. Watch the barges go by. Ya oughta try it.

Being a mom, a wife and a lover is probably the most difficult job
in the world. I never fail to marvel at how all the moms in my family
    do it.

I seriously doubt very many men could do it - maybe I could once -
but not anymore. I do appreciate everything my wife does, however,
and help out where/whenever I can.

... she's my hero - in a couple of respects - being a mom is perhaps her
    most wonderful gift of all.

    Cutiegirlracing,
Your post made me think of an old saying that I learned in the Navy when confronted by a daunting task.
"How do you eat an elephant"?

    "One bite at a time".

This simple saying has worked wonders helping people perservere. Good luck.

As a (wise?) old man I'd like to say hang in there and remember the most important thing above all others is your child.

I was sad and cried because I had no shoes,

    [:(]

then I saw a man that had no feet.

    Learn to count blessings.

Some people really have rough days.

It is always darkest before it gets pitch black.

When you are up to your ass in gators it's hard to remember the goal was to drain the swamp.

When I feel sad/bad I go to the hospital, the sight of someone smiling in a wheel chair drags the sorry right out me.

Rome was not built or burnt in a day. Pace yourself. The boy and the dog will git it sooner or later.

Enjoy your time with gramps, I never got to meet mine.

Let your son go in the backyard. He'll get a kick out of that. Work on his aim later. Put cheerios in the toilet and let him "shootem".

    Hi Traci,

You call it overwhelmed .... I would call it blessed !

You have a new home ? many would love the old one, or just any home period. Your Father and Grandfather are still with you on this earth. A true blessing. You have a dog and a jetski .... more blessings ! And of course the greatest blessing of all ..you have a son !

Overwhelmed ? Indeed you are, overwhelmed with more than your fair share of blessings. Thank your maker everyday...and while doing so ... ask him to bless those not as fortunate as you !

Thanks everyone for your support. When I get tire. I start to get moody and from there I'm not far from feeling depress. Most of the time a good night sleep cures it.
I do have alot to be greatful for and one of those things is being lucky enough to be a member of the best forium on the net.
You can say what you want about GB, but there are alot worst out there and you'll never find one with better people on it.

Everyone on GB are great and I couldn't imagine my life without GB.

    Thanks everyone.

Sometimes, I find it leads to a more positive outlook if I just count my blessings (and everyone has them) instead of my wants and needs (and everyone has those).

Gives me a different perspective at least, and sometimes, that little bit of extra drive that allows me to make it through.

Having kids is hard and I, like ZipDaddy, marvel at the work my wife does.

Cutiegirl, we are proud of you and recognize the effort you are making to be a strong and positive influence in your child's life.

Like someone has said, the potty training is not a big deal...relax and he will do it himself, my three did.

use the kennel/paper graduation method for the puppy.

Talk to us as often as you want or need to. There are some pretty sharp cookies on this forum.

    we love you
