Does Freedom Arms have a website? 0 -
FA does not engrave. However, some to their "special" items were engraved. FA will place certain specific information on a selected piece if it is important to you (and you will pay the $$$). However, to my knowledge they do not have engravers on staff. 0 -
Freedom Arms did engrave some of thier early guns. They used a few differant engravers, one in house, and a few out of house. I own a Freedom Arms Hunters Special 1 Of 100 that was factory engraved. It was sent out to Dan Paul Native American Indian from Blackfoot Idaho (no longer with us) who did a very great job engraving a tastful amount of engraving, with a Cape Buffalo on the left side of the frame, and a Bull Elephant on the right side of the frame. I personally have seen three guns that Dan Paul had factory engraved for Freedom Arms. Freedom also had a Lady that was in house at Freedom Arms (her name slips my mind) who engraved most of the Wyoming 1890 to 1990 Centenial revolvers. Dan Paul did one of the Centenial guns also, It was full coverage engraved with varios Wyomning wild life. A very bu$itful gun, it was for sale in Riverton Wyoming at a gun show for 3500.00. I was short on funds, so I missed out on owning the gun. Linton Mckenzy also did at least one Centenial gun. I'm sure Wayne Baker Owner of Freedom Arms)probably ownes that one.
In Freedom Arms early brochures they show engraved 83's, and also mini revolvers engraved. Engaving was also offered as an option in thier price lists.
The gun in question you are refering to I purshased. This gun is very special, the serial number is D 7004 so it was the third production gun shipped from the factory (Poduction guns started at D 7001).It also has the two line Freedom Arms address that was not started until Late 8000 or early 9000 serial number range. The seller also menstioned that the owwner new Dick Casull, and that there was a story that goes along with the gun. I am looking forward to hearing what the owner has to say. For $1450.00 who I don't really care if its factory engraved or not. I will how ever do some checking with Corey at Freedom Arms to see if it is factory engraved or not. But I'm guessing that it is engraved by Freedom Arms. I know a little some thing about Freedom Arms revolvers, so if you have any questions about special additions, or one of a kinds, let me know. stevejr454@hotmail.com0 -
