Border fence may cut through backyards and homes

A map obtained by The Associated Press shows that the double- or triple-layer fence may be built as much as two miles from the river on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande, leaving parts of Granjeno and other nearby communities in a potential no-man's-land between the barrier and the water's edge.
Based on the map and what the residents have been told, the fence could run straight through houses and backyards. Some fear it could also cut farmers off from prime farmland close to the water.

no doubt. we had our airport claim imminent domain on many houses to build a new runway. now many of those house have been torn down to build what else but new subdivisions. no i dont get it either[:(!] the runway was built but many people were forced to sell and thenhouses were built on top of them0 -

I think if ever I was forced out of my home I would follow the 'scorched earth' policy of the ruskies in WWII. Meaning I would poison the earth so badly; that if I could not have it, no one could. [B)]0
