Jihad in America...has it begun?

    Eric,

What happened in SLC this week was that a murderous gunman happened to be Muslim. If this was jihad, or terrorism, don't you think it would have been better orchestrated (and I know you didn't write this)?

The Minneapolis guy seems like he's just deranged from the itty bitty statement in this post. Yeah, he happens to be Muslim, too.

I remember the thing in Seattle and wondering if it was an act of terror. Yeah, sorta, by one guy.

IMO, terrorism is more effective when you have things like John Malvo or 9/11, or even that silly Cartoon Network thing last week.

Individual acts may fly under the terror radar, but I don't think they inflict terror upon the population (with the exception of, say, the people in the SLC mall). Isn't that what we're taught terrorism is supposed to do? Put as much of society as possible in fear?

To continue, we've seen more effective means of terror with the school shootings last year in Colorado and in Pennsylvania (weren't there some others, too?). Those guys weren't Muslim, but they're just as deranged as the guys you've listed.

Don't get me wrong, I believe that radical Islam is constantly plotting against the United States and would love to bring more terror to our shores and heartland.

I just don't think any of this makes it to that level.

These single acts of terrorism strongly ressemble the suicide bombings and attacks inside Israel.

    You know what terrorizes me?

Wide open borders, and the way our govt is handling the situation. The people who are supposed to be protecting us (the actual border patrol, police) are being persecuted for doing their jobs, This is an absolute outrage! And how in the hell American people stand for it is beyond me.

Look at what our government is doing to our country, our way of life; That terrorizes me! At one time our nation relied on common sense, hard work, honesty, helping others.. etc Nowadays it's all about suing, stealing, lying, cheating.. Half the snit on TV pushes this lifestyle.

I personally believe that this country is on it's knees. The populace is almost too ignorant to inter operate without the hand of big brother holding on. Not to mention big brother is being pushed along by foreign money, and if you need me to tell you FOREIGN INTEREST.

yes... as sad as it is, most of you know as well as I do our country is lost.

    Eric,

But they don't, really. A school shooting? Sure. But it would be more effective if these guys were walking into a mall and blowing themselves up like they do in Israel.

THAT, I guarantee you, would incite fear and terror, and be far more effective.

These terrorists are many things. Dumb isn't one of them.

Dunno if I agree that we're on our knees, but I agree with much of what you say.

the guy was a muslim nut job (no shortage of those) but I don't think he was part of a larger "terror" organization. It may have been his own personal jihad or what have you, but I don't THINK this is a portent of things to come, but I could be wrong.

    LOL you got it.

This is, of course, if I'm not locked out of the entire thing.

And, we know a tree by the fruit it produces.
