  The way I remember it is something like this. I probably got it all wrong because it's been years since i heard it, but here goes.
  
  2000 years ago Moses said " Pick up your shovel, pack up your camel, get on your ass and I'll take you to the promise land.
  In 1947 Harry Truman said "Throw down your shovel, sit on your ass, and light up a Camel. This is the promise land.
  In 1972 Richard Nixon kicked your ass, taxed your camel and said "There is no promise land".
