    Security Guard.

Worked a summer as a security guard for Allstate. Most boring mindless job I've ever had.

My worst job was as a roustabout on an Oil Platform in the Gulf of Mexico during the summer between my sophomore and junior years of college. The money (1965) was amazing, but the work was somewhat dangerous. I could have made more money on the drilling platform, but the majority of those guys were missing one or more fingers[:0], so I didn't think the tradeoff was worth it!

My best job is the one I currently have, retirement![:D]

Best job....living on a farm shoveling manure....worst job....Civil Service with DOD.

I enjoyed the animals company on the farm and they appreciated me hauling their crap away.

The latter....I don't enjoy the politics of the animals and they don't appreciate me hauling their crap away.

That's my worst, too. I did it to buy cool, new glasses. We ended up rolling my buddy's dad's truck and working a month for free.

The best job I've ever had is the one I'm at now. Flexible hours, family owned-and-operated, casual doesn't begin to describe the attire and the job itself is nothing but one big, creative outlet.

    The unofficial corporate slogan is,

"FM? Stands for Friggin' Magic, man"

None of my jobs have been "bad" per se, but the one that caused me most grief and headache was parking lot attendant in a small strip mall very close to The Swamp (Ben Hill Griffen Stadium, U. of Florida) on Saturdays.

One of the best moments on that job was calling a tow truck from Melrose (30 min drive away) to tow away some alumni azz who thought he could park in "my" lot and go to the game instead of patronizing "my" businesses that I worked for. He was just lucky I didn't have a Daytona phone book available....

Worse job would have to be rougging corn. Best would be Team doctor for indoor football team and a hockey team. Love the free games.

At 14 I washed dishes by hand in a restaurant, just hot water, soap and a brush. Talk about dish-pan hands.
At 15 I worked 11pm to 3am for WMA Bus Co. in Coral Hills Md. pulling the coin boxes off the buses and putting them in the vault room. I guarantee you a bus collected alot of quarters and dimes in an entire business day. Heavy, backbreaking work.

But, the worst job in the world is cutting tobacco...period.[V]

Best job: Crew chief on the B-52 up here in Minot, ND. Winters included. I love the AF (never ever thought I'd hear myself say that).

Worst job: 9 months working maintenance in a plywood manufacturing plant. Damn near lost my left hand to a bacterial infection, it was a dirty job.

No, just tap dancing around the auto-censor.

The term "crack fatlady" conjures up an entirely different image in my head.

I think my best AND worst was the same job. Bar tending a small town Ks. beer bar.
Best Job: Got to be friends w/lots of good looking chicks. And scored w/ALOT of them. ANDgot to drink for FREE!
Worst Job: Low pay. And having to break up drunkin A-hole fights over stupid stuff like pool games. Most of the time ended up the fight myself. Had several assault charges on me. vehicle vandalized etc.
But the trim benefits were worth it. [:D]

Worst job I ever had was cleaning out the BBQ pit at the American Leigon in my home town. It was 100+ degrees outside and the flys and smell were both horrible.

Best job I ever had was a night security guard at a girls dorm while in college. I had to walk every floor of the building once every hour. You would be supprised at the sites I saw. I'll never forget that job. It only paid $3.35 an hour but you could say it came with lots of benefits. [:D]

I was working at a magazine printing co., everything they made got the edges sheared off (like confetti) and got sucked into a conveyer belt into this room, where this bigass blower blows it out into a huge pile, where you take a pitchfork and shovel it into this mulcher thing. well, there's nothing else in the room, nobody else but yourself, shoveling confetti all day long, and that blower coming out of the ceiling is so loud you have to wear earplugs and earmuffs.

when you're on break, you get to sit on a chair... in the room.. with the blower going.
