Sar 8 G3/HK 91

Sar 8 was made by springfeild armory. Are they as reliable as a HK 91?

Next question is there any x service G3's floating around.

  A quick search shows at least one post on the SAR 8 from a gentleman who used to love to share all sorts of interesting firearms facts and information with all of us...Until he was forced to leave.

  Wow sure is a shame that he left. I do not remember much of him here but breifly i think i came in as he went out. Sad very sad. o ya dcon the part where he left not where i came in.

  I've heard a lot about of bad talk about the aluminum recievers, I have one, and it works great. You can spend alot of money on one of these things, or you can spend about 500 bucks for basically the same thing. Its all in how much you wish to spend.

  I know where you can get a preban HK 91 for about $1600. Local gun shop has one. Write up a contract so there's no legal issues, send me the cash, and I'll buy it for you, do a function check with live ammo on it, then send it off your way...after I clean it, of course.
  
  Up to you. I'd be extremely jealous of you if you had that kind of money to get it.

  Good price on it and if it has any goodies.. Bipod, extra mags, handle, claw mount, optics it is a Great price. I bought one a while back with a bipod and spare mag for the same price. Most are over 2k naked gun.

  while you're at it... what do you think about those Century Arms HK91/G3 clones that were floating around for a while? those were the ones with mil surplus portugese furniture and a mil std rail integral on top of the receiver. I think it was aluminum.
  
  I had one for a short time; the loose forestock isn't that much of a problem, put in a 2" peice of rope for a spacer. one thing that did bother me was the 2 screws that held on the buttstock kept coming loose. other than that, I really didn't get to see what might go wrong with the greasy parts. so what's your take on it.
