toyota FJ cruiser 4x4 ??
okay, i used to think these things were UGLY as sin and i couldnt stand them. now, for some reason, i like them and want to get one. they have 3 models at my local dealer that are 4x4 and i cant believe how cheap they are, $24,500 . anyone here have one and give some feedback on them ? are they good offroad ? gas mileage ? power ? room inside ?

I have always been a fan of the Old FJ cruisers when they first camr out I wanted one but we went with a tundra know I wish I would have got one. I have drove a few and love them.. 4x4 is great get a standard. In 4 low will crawl up anything 0 -
I took a look at them awhile back. Their styling is a little different and takes some getting used to, but agreed that they're well built 4WD's.
One drawback I noticed when driving in town was seriously limited visibility looking back over your right shoulder.0 -
I have one, and love it. Great road manners for such a capable off roader. big blind spot in the rear. great power. Ill find a pic, have 2 friends with them also. Here we are last winter puttin them to the test. Mine is the burgandy one.

i didnt realize the small window in the rear corner and how it would limit visibility. hmmm....is it really bad or can you get used to it ? 0 -
The car has back up sensors that help, but it needs a backup camera. Windshield is straight up and down, and some have complained of chips, I havnt got one yet. I paid 29 for mine. Motor trend gave it 5 stars this month. It is the most fun car Ive ever had. 0 -
How much leg room do they have? I have an 06 Tundra and have been looking at the 07 Tundras in order to increase the room in the cab. I also like the look of this and wondered how they ride.

Im 6'3" and I still dont put the seat back all the way. the cab is big, actually the truck is big. I wouldnt want to ride in the back seat for more than a couple hours but the front is very roomy. We have taken it to the beach twice (over my wife e320). Great hiway manners but crosswinds will move you around a little. 0 -
My son has one of these vehicles, that I call "The Toad" for obvious reasons, and he really likes it a lot. [:)][:)] Gets good mileage and has lots of goodies. I think he paid around $30K for his, but this is California where everything costs a little more to offset for theft. [:)][:)] He reccommends it. Not theft, but the vehicle. [:D][:D]

Excellent vehicles, I am considering it to replace the wife's Explorer.
Don't like a rear mounted spare tire, but the total package is nice.0 -

Nice looking vehicles. Only downside I have heard is that you can't open the rear doors without opening the front first. Is that true! Also rear windows don't go down, so in an accident the back passengers are going to have a little trouble getting out quickly if the front doors are jammed. Out the back I guess![;)] 0 -

Yer right, dont buy it if you plan on using the back seat alot. suicide rear doors dont open until you open front ones. It would be nice if you could get a factory sun roof. I tow with mine and it is a bulldog, but all your hitches need to have a 5" drop because the truck sits high.0 -

Thanks for the info cartod, I'll check them out a little closer. BTW, My wife's family is from Beckley and both her brothers went to WVU. She is a WVTech nursing grad.0 -

5000 lb. tow cap. 250 hp v6. You dont want to tow much more with the short wheel base, you do gain stability with the tall tires. 0
