I know I'm getting fat. Anyway, for what it's worth, here's a site that will assess your weight, given your age and height.

well i aint fat most people would not guess i weight as much as i do,i know this because after my kids aau wrestling practice some of us old farts stepped on the scale and everbody there did'nt think i wieghted that much....never thought about it but on site you posted it says this guess i'll not worry about it[:D] "It will, however, overestimate fatness in people who are muscular or atheletic." 0 -
I'm 6' 220lbs. People are shocked to hear my weight. No one thinks I weigh more than 200. I played sports for years and my legs are still thick, my upper body is getting very stocky as well. But it still says I'm overweight. 0 -

Take it for what it's worth. If you're totally ripped, it will call you overweight even if all that extra mass is muscle (the algorithm they're using doesn't know that).
It calls me "normal", but I know that I should be about 155 pounds and I'm weighing about 172 (just 3 lb short of "obese" according to this web site.)
So it calls you obese when you probably aren't, and it calls me normal when I know I'm gaining weight in a way that I shouldn't be gaining weight........

Most of those do not ask for measurements.(usually waist hips wrist) Without those measurements is would be impossible for it to be anywhere close. 0 -
I took the little test and it said,"MOOO!" 0 -
such bs, told me that I am overwieght too (195lb @ 6'01) and that I am fatter than 54% of people my height. 0 -
BMI is totally worthless, and is finally being recognized as such by the medical community. BMI does not take muscle mass into consideration at all, just weight to height ratios. Using BMI, Tom Cruise is obese, don't think so. The best way to do it is waist to hip ratios. Having an apple shape (carrying extra weight around the stomach) is riskier for your health than having a pear shape (carrying extra weight around your hips or thighs). This is because body shape and health risk are linked. If you have more weight around your waist you have a greater risk of lifestyle related diseases such as heart disease and diabetes than those with weight around their hips. For men, waist size should be no more than 95% of hip size. For women, waist size should be no more than 80% of hip size. The hip size is measured at the roundest part of the butt. And the waist size is measured at the naval. 0 -
