Got hit by Shrapnel Today
I was at the monthly IDPA match and a man was shooting...I was talkin then all of a sudden wham a little spec of lead and jacket hit me and another a guy beside me...it tore my shirt and broke the skin but didnt go in (thank God)...I guess thats why we wear saftey glasses.

Had the lead in my guts fer a few weeks. The plates need resurfaced to remove pits. 0 -
One has to fire tracers in a gravel pit to witness bullets and fragments rebounding and ricocheting in every direction including backwards.
They also rebound in indoor ranges having angled steel plates.0 -

I have been hit buy bullet fragments from steel targets.
Also with fragments from a revolver with no forcing cone.
Safety glasses are important when shooting.0 -
i stopped counting long time ago, funny thing was the worst one i got hit with was a dang wwb .38 with their weak pf of 110, a piece of jacket hit me right in the cheek went in pretty good
safety glasses are a must in any shooting, and side shields, a friend of mine didn't have side shields once and almost lost his eye by a piece of hot .308 brass making it's way in between his eye and the frames, at last years knob creek machine gun shoot0 -

Been hit many times. Once had one that stuck in my chest with the shirt. Pulled the shirt and piece out, bled like a stuck pig for a while. 0 -
never been hit, but had a close call where I could hear the whizzing sound as it nearly hit my head. 0 -
Happened to me - small piece of copper jacket hit me in my leg. Didn't tear my jeans or anything else, fortunately! 0 -
Got hit with some shotgun pellets that ricocheted back once. Scared the bejesus out of me... 0 -
I got hit with a piece of artificial snow can once. You see, at the time, I didn't know that they could simply spontaneously explode at 25 yards.
Boy, I don't go anywhere those cans anymore.0 -
Got hit by some shotgun pellets last week. test fired an old shotgun into a tree stump, was a little too close I guess. Peppered me good. #4 shot stings. Went in to wash and the wife freaked. Washed my arm in the kitchen sink and got a few out. After a while she finally talked me into a trip to the e-room at the hospital. Took a shower and got some more, also got some out of my leg. At the e-room, the nurse wanted to know if I called to cops. Asked him what for, they gonna arrest a tree stump? Figured that they would be playing 200 questions but that pretty well put a stop to that line of questioning. Finally told them to x-ray me to see if I got all of them out, if so, give me a tetnus shot and I'll be on my way. If not, then you dig them out and send me on my way. I had gotten all of them and will try to be a little further from tree stump back stops in the future. I had gotten them all, got a tetnus shot and they gave me some antibiotics and was home an hour and a half after we left to go.
Wife upset that one of my t-shirts has some shot holes in it. Got 8 #4 pellets in an ashtray as a remind to be a little more careful in the future.0 -
Yep, wacked in the leg, friend dumped the clip or mag into a refrigerator, 25 shots one came straight back hitting me.Dont shoot much with the dope since then. 0 -
A guy was shooting .22lr out of .22 mag single six, spraying brass fragments everywhere. He didnt think it was him. I put a piece of paper over the cylinder and asked him to shoot. It shredded the paper. 0
