Anybody ever heard of these or use them? Just wondering if they are restricted for use in a concealed carry piece in Oklahoma or anywhere else? They look like the ones. Anybody have anything better they would suggest?

as with any encounter with another person excesive use of force can get you in trouble. my instructor advised the class he was teaching just to use plain jane ammo. he gave an instance where a permit carrier shot an attacker with some hopped up hollow point HANDLOAD . to make a long story short ,the shooter was in trouble for using excesive force 0 -

The real question is whether it's practical as a CCW load. Just because a bullet performs well in a hunting situation doesn't necessarily mean it's a good choice for a personal defense gun.

Can you supply a link? Tungsten is the filiment in a lightbulb and used in tungsten-carbide loading dies. Depleted uranium is somewhat radioactive when employed, but I doubt you will find small arms ammo made from it.0 -
...A $100 bucks??? Carry 'em if you can afford 'em I guess...considering you need to shoot a LOT of new rounds in what you carry to feel "sure" the round works well in your particular gun...buy 2-3 boxes.
...Im leary of all the claims a lot of bullet makers make, geeze...the names they use. Sounds a lot like a fragnable bullet to me. You have to realize HP's (noted these arent exactly HP's) are not all they are cracked up to be, fact.
..Especially in winter when someone your shooting is wearing a heavy coat. The material of the coat can fill up the cavity in the HP...and cause it not to expand; voiding the expected results of the HP "effect" (quick, massive exspansion), surprise!...[;)]

Guess I should have been more specific, thoriated tungsten will emit radioactive dust/sparks when grinded. As in tungsten rods used in TIG welding.0 -

Thats a bunch of crap right their. Must have had a pretty crappy lawyer, any good lawyer would have you sitting on you couch drinking milk and eating cookies with the kids that night.
Bottom line in the event that my life or someone else's life is theatened with great bodily harm or death that threat shall be eliminated quickly.
I have choose not to purchase these based on the facts, not well known, to expensive to buy enough to test out for reliabily concerns, range reports I have researched, and of course the responses I got on this topic from fellow GB members,

Yep- could cause a problem if you shot someone with "killer" ammo.
Besides that, at 93.00/box, it might be better to just shoot 'em 3 or 4 times with the cheap stuff. You are shooting a .45!!![:)]0
