With the dell bashing going on in the other thread, I hate to bring them up...but...they do! Go to the web site and see what they have. I have bought refurb units from them and had absolutely no problem with them. And I have had great luck with all the dells I have dealt with. [:D] 0 -
we bought one yesterday here at work for 700 - it's an hp, pretty nice. 0 -

+1, Mine is going on 4 years old now and I have used it as an everyday computer since I bought it. Am typing on it right now as a matter of fact. Also, I have heard a lof of good things from HP's. I would steer clear of the Sony's. They are decent computers, but they are not very durable(unless they have improved over the last few years).

Been buying Dell's for last 5 years now about 1 per year. For Work, home and for the kids. No problems there.
Go to the Small Businnes section, doesn't matter if you have a businees or not. Then go the the Smart Values on the right side.
Computers there are $ 150-300 less than the Home users section. And loaded with more features.
Refurbished is a great place to shop on Dell too. Got Laptops for the Kids for college. $450-600 with all the features they will need.0 -
Buy a dell, but buy it as a small business - the lattitude line is better than the inspiron (and optiplex are better than dimensions) and you can get a 3 year next day on site warranty 0 -
I have had 3 Gateway computers in last 10 years
and will buy another in 2 years. Any problems I
have had where made right in a hurry, no charge.

Do u have Acer over there ? They're practically weightless and with a very excellent screen. 0 -
I love my Gateway refurb from TigerDirect. Three years without a glitch. Heavy image editing. 0 -

dell gives you the most bang for your buck. the diffrence between the latitude and inspiron product lines is, the latitudes are geared for the business market, so they're built for networking. the inspirons are geared for the consumer market, so they're built for multimedia and gaming. they're both just as reliable and durable. 0 -
look at dell I have had tree dells and been very happy 0 -
I have purchased two in the last 2 years, one for me and one for my daughter to use in college. Both are Toshiba and both are great. You have to watch for sales- usually they're rebate deals. They had 'em for 399.00 this weekend 0
