    Let's remember that this same group previously awarded the same prize to Jimmy Carter (2002)...and to Yasser Arafat (1994). Seems like these folks are poor judges of "prize-winning" character, IMHO.

    Just goes to show that if you can fabricate enough evidence and make people swallow it hook, line and sinker, then you can win a Nobel Peace Prize. After all, it is the message that you're sending that's important, not the facts.

    Can somebody explain to me again about Global warming? The temp rise on earth inhabited by humans has gone up in the same temp as the rest of the other planets in our system that doesn't have any life. And Al Gore gets a prize?

    Like the second amendment...? Otherwise i guesse i like his liberal side..My kind of folks is like your old cowboy heroes.Defending the weak and dealing w the bad boys.
    I dont like this current ...Bad greedy guys with all the power and lots of poor /less rich good guys w no influence situation we have on a global scale at present.

    You guys are really tough on Al. His heart is in the right place - he was going to donate all of his prize money. Unfortunately he had to use it to pay his electric bill at his estate in TN!

    Giving the Nobel Peace prize to Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat at least made SOME sense. They were politicians and world figures who worked in the realm of politics and "statesmanship" (I use that term loosely, especially with those two jackasses) to create institutional structures for people and the human condition. I don't agree with them, what they did, what they stood for, their actions, beliefs, rhetoric, or anything else. I didn't agree with the Nobel committee when they gave them prizes. That being said, glow-bull warming has infinitely less to do with peace than any other conceivable subject I can imagine. This truly astounds me. I hate to say it, but giving it to Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, whatever the hell the Iranian guy's name is, or even Saddam would have been more defensible than to give it to Algore.
