any good semi-auto pistols made in Australia?
That are in production, exportable, and good?
I'd heard about something made in Brisbane over there by "Metal Storm", that sounded more like a machine gun handgun. I guess they were full automatic(which I can't buy...or even want)
Are there any current good semi-autos being made there that can be exported to the US?

They are not allowed to own handguns anymore. No semi-auto or pump guns of any kind. They still own shotguns, single shot, and hunting rifles, bolt action and lever action. I think thats it.
So I doubt that the make much for private export except for military sales.0 -
Metal Storm is a prototype system for armed forces use. Everything from pistols to big stuff. The system is not semi-auto, or full-auto in the traditional sense.
It can fire a million rounds per minute. That is correct - a MILLION rounds per minute. That would make your old speed loader groan.
There is almost zero industry in either Australia or New Zealand capable of supporting sophisticated, large scale manufacturing.
