My wife has a Sentra 1.8. She likes it but I don't. To me it just seems cheap and tends to rattle more then I like. Nissan's are pretty reliable, though. Personally I'd rather have a Corola. 0 -
I've got an 04 1.8S - it'll be 3 on 5/13/07. Average 37 mpg, good stereo, good a/c. has 33000 on it and will need tires in the next month or two. It's a 5 speed stick. Has never been to the shop for any reason, other than scheduled maintenance. I've used Castrol Syntec synthetic oil in it since the first change - change it & filter every 5000.
It is the most trouble-free new car I've ever had, and I've had a lot of them. We have an 02 Subaru Legacy GT wagon and an 05 Scion xA and a Ford Super Duty dually - and some other stuff - and the Nissan is usually my car of choice on a daily basis.
I'll buy another when this one wears out.

Very happy owner of a '99 altima here. Do it. They are good cars.
Aside from oil changes and replacing a door (my mom backed into me, she paid for it), I've never had to do anything until 110k miles - just recently. Did power steering pump and a few other minor things. Just keeps going and going and going...0 -
Look at the corola and the civic. Nissan would be my last choice of the 3. 0
