Should I buy these firearms?

I can sometimes get firearms from Browning at 10% less than wholesale prices, supposedly, I was thinking about getting the Browning Hi-Power in 9mm but it is $550 + taxes, and I also wanted to get the Browning Buckmark .22 Target Rifle with stainless barrel but that is 395 + taxes. My cousin and I were planning on getting these but when the time came to pull the trigger last week and he said the price for the pistol could be reaching towards 650 - I pulled out. I feel like I should be able to find 'better'firearms or something with more bang for the buck. I was thinking about getting a Glock 17 for around $500 (est), and a Savage Mark II fvt .22 rifle for probably around $300 (est). Am I making a mistake on not getting these Brownings - they just seem so expensive. Thanks.

    Check out FN's new Pro 9 and Pro 40, the trigger on both .40's I shot was the best out of the box Ive seen for a while. 17+ RDs 9MM or 14+1 in the .40. I hope to aquire the .40S&W before to long. The decocker is a plus as well for me. Good Luck!

    Would you buy the weapons if you had an opportunity to get they at this price or would you go for something else?

    If you're going to spend that much money on a Savage in .22LR then you can get something superior to that for less dinero. I bought a CZ 452 "Military Trainer" with iron sights back in 2004 and it is by far the most accurate .22 I've ever owned or fired. I think I paid around $250 for it.
