Winchester 60A+67A youth rifles
Here are my Tulsa finds this weekend. A last version 60A manufactured 1932-34. They made 6,118 60As. And a very nice 67A junior rifle, also called youth model, with a 20" barrel.

Thats a nice looking 60A. I might be mistaken, but the 60A was not that limited. The 60A Target model had a production run of 6,000 or so. I passed recently on a 60A Target that was not as nice looking as yours. Do you mind saying how much? 0 -

Don't laugh at me, I gave what I thought was a rediculous price, $375.00. But now you have me scratching my head. Herbert Houze's book states that model 60s had a production # of 165,754 and the 60A was 6,118. Mine is roll marked 60A and has the last 60 features of the 27" barrel and 27 1/4" stock length. Also the late 60 grooved stock. But It's not a target, just marked 60A? I probably bought a lesson, but I didn't have a 60 and this was the nicest I've seen.

Yes yours is a later production 60A, with the grooved stock and 27" barrel, but not the target model. The target model has a steel buttplate, not composite. I also don't think what you paid was over the top, even a good deal if you ask me. Especially if the 67 is original. I sold both mine seperately for well over what you paid for yours.0 -
You can't buy a rifle like that anymore and if you could it would be $1,000 or so. I don't think you paid over the top. Nice looking rifles. 0 -
i have a similar winchester in a model 67 sporting rifle, 27" round barrel, composite buttplate...on the left side of barrel just above wood & halfway between rear sight & back end of barrel is stamped number 31..any idea what this represents??? i read they were not serial numbered 0 -

My model 67 sporting rifle is not serial numbered but it also does not have the marking you discribe, Burt H. might be able to help you with that in the experts forum.0 -
