Sunday...A Personal Observation...
I don't know about yall. But Sunday to me, has an incredible feel about it. Kinda laid back and wholesome. Monday has that whole, it's another week kinda feel to it, it's a long way till Friday.Tuesday to me is kinda numb, stuck somewhere just waiting on the next thing to happen. Wednesday has the whole hump day thing going for it. Thursday is kinda like a primer for Friday, almost there, and it feel's good. Then Friday come's, and you know you've made it through another week and the whole weekend thing is upon you. Saturday, the day where you can do no wrong, being constructive or just lazy. But Sunday, the Lord's day, it just has that feel to it. The feeling that make's realize, just how glad I am to have this life, and live it to the best of my ability.[;)]

That is a fine sentiment and one to be savored!
Sundays for me have a different feel, and have since I was a kid. When I was growing up long ago there were blue laws and nothing much was open. Maybe a drugstore or two, guys selling papers, gas stations, maybe the roller rink (I did say it was a while back, right?) For a kid that made one crashingly boring day. TV sucked, The Big Picture (US army hyping its self in the pre-be all you can be days), and Dave Garroway's Omnibus along with You Are There were the very low highlights of day time TV with only Ed Sullivan for evening fare. Since I was a kid, and to some extent still today, Sundays have something of a prison feel to them (which is not helpd by hous cleaning).0 -
I live by that, thanks for the post,Happy SUNDAY[:D]

Ya, sunday sucked as a kid but now i like it. We have a lil routine here. Get groceries, clean chicken house and sit on butt. Then i'll do a lil bit here and there till 7:30 then i put the dogs to bed and watch movies til sleepy time. Sunday is alright, it's Monday that needs a good AZZ kicking! 0 -
I get that "special" feeling on Sunday afternoons. I realized that as we get older, we become our parents, and it occurred to me that Mom and Dad would always disappear on Sunday after we got home from church and had lunch. Sundays are good. 0 -

My work week starts on Sunday. [:(] 0 -
I never liked Sunday, because it meant I had to go to school the next day, which I disliked.
My views of Sunday are similar to Kris Kristofferson's:
Well I woke up Sunday morning,
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled through my closet for my clothes,
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
An' I shaved my face and combed my hair,
An' stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.
On the Sunday morning sidewalk,
Wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cos there's something in a Sunday,
Makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothin' short of dyin',
Half as lonesome as the sound,
On the sleepin' city sidewalks:
Sunday mornin' comin' down.0 -
My Dad used to always say "Son, the weekend is over on Sunday". Took me awhile to figure that out. 0
