Update - From Amy Flowers
I had an e-mail from Amy Flowers in my inbox this morning regarding the case of her husband William Flowers.
Lee,
I'm Amy, William's wife. The case is at a stand still. They recovered one gun, but the person that had possession of it said he found it in a ditch. The police are watching him closely.
I got your email address from H. B. Brandon. I will keep you guys posted. William truly enjoyed your group.
Take Care and keep praying for us.
Sincerely,
Amy

sarge - this was my previous update:
Last year there was a gun shop owner that was shot while leaving his place of business. He was killed and he was a member of this forum.
His wife posted a notice about the events of the incident! Indicated that he would not be posting and why.
Has anyone ever heard the outcome of this case? Did they ever find the shooter?
I have never heard a word since and did a search and was not able to find the origional post?
Here is the reply I received this morning re: the robbery and death of william Flowers: I believe this gentelman is Mr. Flowers former father in law:
Despite a substantial reward, no one has ever been arrested, and as far as I know none of the stolen guns have been recovered.
My personal slant on it is that the perps must've been from elsewhere. If they were local, I expect someone would've eventually
known something about it and turned them in for the reward.
Although the shop had a video surveillance system, I'm told William was in the process of changing tapes, getting ready to close
up and go to visit his father in the hospital, when they came in and shot him in the back of the head, so there was no video record.
It is a shame that, almost a year later, no one had been linked to this horrible crime. The authorities say they continue to work on
the case, and we can hope that one day there will be a break.
Thanks for your interest.

If there is a reward and there are the FFL records then a list of the stolen firearms and serial numbers posted on Gunbroker may be helpful to LE and a problem to the killer(s). 0 -
