    SC law allows anyone over 21 to carry a loaded pistol in the glovebox WITHOUT a concealed carry permit. Wonder if the badguy knew this? Currently this law is trying to get changed to keep gangbangers from having weapons in the vehicles. Guess everyone will need a conceal carry permit.

    Not criticizing you Select ... but changing this law will stop gangbangers and other people that already don't obey the law ... how?

    I guess our smart lawmakers figure IF you have a gun in the vehicle you better have a permit to carry. Or IF the gun is in the vehicle go to jail.

    Bad guy was probably a transplant from Wash DC or New York City. Both areas where you are not allowed to protect yourself.

    Kudos to the LE for praising her willingness to not be a victim. I just hope she doesn't have to face a civil suit from some jackass lawyer decrying . 'Bout time people wise up and start taking responsibility for thier own safety. Way to go, lady!!

    I am not surprised that liberals would think like this. Most "gangbangers", if they indeed are real gangbangers, have enough of a criminal background that they can't even legally buy or own a gun in most places. So with or without a CCW being required to carry a hangun in the vehicle, no true gangbangers should be carrying (or even owning) a hangun now.

    trfox, as much as you want to put down SC your thinking is not precise. If the law gets passed, then the Police Officer stopping the vehicle will run the tags... Tags will tell whether or not the owner has a Concealed carry permit. By law here you must tell the Officer your packing. If the occupant comes up short of a conceal carry and a gun is present they get arrested.

    It looks like she had to fire across the driver to hit the thug.
    I carry when I go to my Home Depot at night. This is why.

    I'm surprised the press gave it a positive twist. They'd have called her 'reckless and irresponsible' in the Philadelphia press. The D.A. would have applauded, in private, though.

    The DA wouldn't have applauded crap. I've never seen or heard of an actual DA who approved of any shooting, police or personal,
    legal or extrajudicial. It's not politically correct. Too many people forget that a DA is a political position which you must run for.
    Thus, they are politicians, making their decisions on whom to prosecute based on which group's favor they want to curry.

    The Home Depots in the Northern VA area are friggin' war zones at all hours of the day or night. Since there is such a vast number
    of illegal Hispanic immigrants (mostly Salvadorians), they've swamped the construction industry with dirt cheap labor.
    But, you've gotta bring your own tools. And why buy what you can steal, right?

    At one Home Depot I remember they actually caged off the whole exit area from the building and made you show a receipt for EVERY
    item. Apparently, the Salvadorians would just walk to the tool section, take a big sack of whatever they wanted, and walk out the front door en masse.
    One guy put a $5000 arc welder on a dolly and walked out the front door. They tried to detain him, but he laughed, flipped them the bird, and got away.

    That's why i keep my I.D. and CWP in the same I.D. holder. one side holds my I.D. and the other side my CWP, so when the cop ask, i just hand them that and i need not say anything. they know i may be carrying but they never ask, they just ask what i carry. Its even gotten me a warning, believe it or not, and yes i was shocked at that
