I Hated Cops
Then I Grew Up[8D]
Seriously I met a very nice cop tonight. He pulled me over doing 75 in a 60 and all he did was politely told me to slow down and be safe.[:D]
Now that I am grown up and an adult I can even like cops.

As a policy, I plead "not guilty" on every citation I get. Around 80 percent of the time, the officer doesn't show up and the citation is dismissed.
The times I lose I don't complain. I figure that for all the times I've broken a traffic rule and didn't get cited, I at least deserve THIS ticket.
Other than traffic infractions, and the income generators they are for the local government, I am a big supporter of police.
I haven't had a ticket, or been pulled' over in 8 or 9 years, and probably only maybe 4 citations in the last 30 years, so this isn't a great big issue for me.

I've had two speeding tickets and two warnings my whole life. Only two parking tickets too. I figure the felonies don't count, right? 0 -
I only had one beef with a police officer. I was working a job where the shift ended at 2 a.m. I drove an old pickup. While coming him from work, I was pulled over. Officer gave me a warning for a burned out license plate light. The next night I was pulled over again in the same location. Another officer said I crossed the white dotted line. The way the road meanders, everyone crosses the white dotted line in the day time!
I was pissed. I can't drive home from work in an old pickup at 2 am without being checked out to see if I am drunk. Officer #1 also showed up immediately. He apparently recognized the description. We had words. He threatened to give me a ticket if I didn't talk nice to him.
They were young and inexperienced.
I bought a newer vehicle, changed shifts, and never had another problem.0 -
My current beef is governmental planners who can't make a freaking straight road!
They added a new lane for the Super WalMart. THe road swerves all over the place, plus there are dips where entrances once were there.0 -

...Ive only had one ticket my entire life, a speeding ticket that was dissmissed. Only stopped one other time....and all the cop wanted was to know how I liked my truck! ??..said they were thinking about getting the model I had for their canine officers.

I had a run in with a SOS yesterday morning, and she let me go without even asking for my license.
I also had a cop pull beside me at a stop sign and ask me to be more careful last night.
I'm liking the cops today boy!

This never happens, but for it to happen twice in one day, I'm thinking that they must like me.[^]

I passed a cop doing 110mph once, and all he did was give me a friendly wave... Boy, the German autobahns are great![:D] 0
