I should scan a post the pics of my dad's jeep from korea. It got ran over by a tank interestly it actually doesnt look all that bad. 0 -
did that with a '73 olds cutlass once.
I bet they had a hell of a time getting that back on its feet.0 -
There is a reason they call it a "training exercise". 0 -
I said parallel park the tank, not vertical! 0 -
It actually would have been the TC's fault unless the driver just freaked out and didn't follow instructions. 0 -
I took my 82 Eldorado over a jump like that once, the car didn't like it at all. 0 -
Here's another one that would make you say "Aw Crap!".

Your right! The M88 is a sweet piece of equipment.

time to break out the M88. god I love that damn thing.
lift power, its great.
I know...I want one. Use the plow blade for clearing snow, the gantry for picking up logs for cutting and the power for pulling people out of the ditches. I could've used one yesterday....(not for me...tried pulling someone else out of a ditch).
I'd use one as my daily driver in the winter if I had one.0 -
I'd have gunned it. Sarge's pic looks like reactive armor, what a waste. 0 -
I know it's an old M88, but it's still picking up an M109 Paladin.

So that's what the belly of an M60 MBT looks like! 0 -

but hells bells, that thing is just awsome.
I've seen those things with a Ma Deuce mounted on top. They can have teeth too.0 -

My sister used to command a Retriever, but in Honduras/Nicaragua there was too much brush in the way to get a decent photo of the ones that went TU. 0 -
When the 88's would fire up, you knew it.
They would still call our crane operator out in the middle of the night to fish out m113's that thought they could swim.....

May be a dumb question but does the military salvage those "errors" for parts or do they actually repair them and return them to service? 0 -

When I first went into the Army in 1980, the old timers would talk about the old M88's that had the gas engines. They would talk of them throwing quite a flame out the rear when they would fire one up.0
