We had looked all over and found this little country house we fell in love with. It is a 5 bedroom, 2 floor home with 10 acres and a great barn in the back yard. It also has a stream running through it. The previous owners were moving out this afternoon so things are a mess. We can't wait to get in it!!!

Be careful with that "stream running through" your house. Could be hazardous if you should get up in the night to go for a snack, etc. Also, during times of high-water, your guns could be at risk of flooding. Lots of folks round here in S. Louisiana had streams running through their houses during Katrina and Rita but none were bragging about it.

The bottom floor was built in the 50's and the top floor added and some updates done in the 70's. There is new carpet, paint and some things done to it already....but there are a couple things that need attention. We will do a couple little wiring projects to make us feel better about things and it could use new light fixtures in just about every room (pretty dark in some rooms.)

I love the layout of the house.....but because we want the kids upstairs and us downstairs...my 11 yr old is getting the master bedroom. Funny huh? I'll get some pics of the inside asap.

Damn, shouldnt the oldest get the MB?

Love the picture of the barn. Keep that in ggod shape.
The kitchen could use some updating, but lay-out looks good.
Love the old farm houses. I wish I could talk the wife into something like that.

Sorry, but that's the wrong color. It needs to be IH Red. [:D][:D] If he gets the hood and grill back on it that'll look like a great little acreage tractor.

We had plans on getting a Troy built zero radius lawn....something....at least that is what I've been told by my shnookums there in the pic. BUUUUT....last minute they made us an offer on a craftsman riding lawnmower and the tractor so we bought them both for $3,000. We were happy with the deal.....just because its one less thing to worry over. The hood is in the barn. They had been looking at the bits and pieces on it just before Larry rode it around the yard.

The barn is AWESOME.....it has a staircase instead of a ladder and the shop area is finished in with pegboard on all walls and a LARGE table that runs down one side. He is looking foreward to getting busy on projects.....at least for now....projects are always fun UNTIL you start them.

A few goats and you will have no grass only bare ground. Take a little time with that horse and in a week you should be able to ride it. Good things dont come easy all the time.....[:0]

Classic: A week? Somebody hasn't trained horses in a while. Six months minimum if you know what you are doing, to get it Kid safe.

Goats will not eat away their food source like sheep do. They always leave things just green enough to re-grow.

My friend has 6 pygmy goats, his ground is as bare as a dry bone..I will get a pic of his yard if ya dont believe it.....Everyone around here has to feed their goats as the ground is bare from them...

I didnt say kid safe,, I said ride,, bought a horsethat was never ridden a few years back, took me a week and I was riding it, fun to say the least as she still liked to bite and kick a bit..If ya want a kid safe horse get a broke shetland pony.. LMAO

No such thing as a "kid safe" horse.

Both of my Girls have broken arms on our "kid safe" nags. Well, not actually not ON them - but when they each impacted the earth after being catapulted through the sky by them.

    It's still worth it.

Face it - Kids get hurt. It's best if YOU can pick how.

Right color but it looks a little unusual. What model is it?

    NICE LZ, LF!!!

I'm totally jealous of the tractor deal.

Yeah, among many military families, they say three moves is as good as a fire - nothing remains from before the first move - lotsa stuff gets thrown out or broken by the third move.

And I have noticed that the older I get, the less often I move. Wifey and I looked at each other last time, and both said "last time we do it ourselves"...

    Congrats on the great HOME.
