Geez, imagine the tickets you could write in a nursing home! It would be the mother-load...pun intended.

Special Education students have special problems, thus those who chose to work with them SHOULD expect special problems, and be professional enough to handle any problems short of out and out mayhem without involving the police. Poor bunch of educators, I'd say. If I were the Prosecutor in Danville and this came through my office I'd toss it, and tell the School Superintendent that if I see any more stupid things like this I'll figure out a way to put a case on him.

Schools have their thing to do, and the police have theirs. I don't expect school officials to have good sense or courage, and they usually don't, but I do expect it of the police.

Many times, we have been called to a school over a problem with a student. Principal says, "The student did XXXXX, and I want you to do XXXXX with him." If what the student did is not a CRIME, then the poor principal just has to deal with the problem on his/her own.

A student wetting her pants? Sorry, Charlie, but unless you can demonstrate to me that the student did this deliberately, intending to cause a disruption, I won't be any help.

Principal needs to get a new job. Protocal would have been to call the parent or guardian and come pick up the child. Child could have been put in detention etc. till the parent arrived.

What do you expect from a public education system that expells 1st-graders for "sexual assault" because they touched another 1st-grader "inappropriately?"

Most teachers are liberals. Liberals are brain-dead.

Yeah, and I got ripped on here for HOME SCHOOLING my kids. Said they would not be able to interact with others. Was told, how dare I think I am smart enough to teach my OWN CHILDREN without a degree in teaching. You folks wonder why the hell this stuff happens? It is because you let someone who is DOING A JOB FOR MONEY raise your children at the most important times of their lives. Public schools are strait out of the Carl Marx book of operations.

This is one of those incidents that makes me think everyone involved needs to be riding the short bus.[xx(]
The stupidity of people still manages to amaze me.

Public education in any form is a joke!!! They teach them, what they want, when they want according to the state. Does not matter if it is the truth or "State ok'ed books". My kids will NOT be dumbed down!!!

Yeah, I'm sure that this was the first time this had happened, and that all the teachers and principals were just sitting around sipping coffee and said what the heck, let's call the police. Yeah, I'm sure the parents are telling the exact truth, too, that the girl is a little angel and the principal is just some thug who scares her. I'm sure that no other discipline strategies had been tried in the past, and the the local taxpayers were just delighted to keep buying schools new sofa cushions to replace all the ones the girl peed on. Oh, and I'm sure that the parents of the other students all call the school to say, "I have no problem with my child sitting in a chair this young lady has used as a toilet. Yes, please make sure this girl is in a class right next to my child." Yeah, sounds about right to me.

Don't know, she may have been using it as a sort of weapon. You know, like how a hysteric will fake an illness to get something. Crazy is many time just using an alternative or unacceptable strategy to affect the world.
