Just wondering if these mags http://ammoman.com/index.htm are going to function and hold in a Kimber Ultra Raptor II

Well I can't get a direct link to the 45 mags, if you scroll down a ways on that page in the link you will see 45 mags, click, then view, they are 7 round mags, so are the ones in my Kimber, they look the same 2.

Will they work I wonder?

    They look to be GI .45 mags, so they'll be longer then the proper ones for a compact .45, so they'll hang out the butt a bit, but they should function ok. GI mags don't always work with anything but ball ammo, however, and the higher slide speeds of the smaller 1911s may be more than the old school mag spring can keep up with.

    FWIW, GI mags worked fine in my old Officers ACP with everything but the hottest JHP rounds.

    7 rounds is the standard capacity for full size 1911 .45 mags, it's just that recently (oh, the last 20 years or so!) higher-capacity ones have become commonplace, which is why your shorter mags have a 7 round capacity and most full-size mags carry 8.

    Thanks for the info, was just wondering if it was something worth picking up or if they were junk. Most importantly if they were going to work in my gun.
