    I saw that a few days ago. It actually looks like it hit his ear muffs, knocking them off his head.

    You can hear the sound of the impact. It hit his ear muffs. If it had hit his head it would have sounded different, and he would have likely been dead or seriously injured.

    I had a similar thing happen to me years ago. I was shooting my Mini-14. A bullet went thru a target and hit a boulder about 70yds beyond the target.

    The rear portion of the jacket, shaped like a donut, came straight back over the front sight and stuck in my forehead just above my shooting glasses.

    Here is a pic of some green tip .223 that was slicing through some almost 1/2 steel. The brass casing is what actually came flying back, ripping through my jacket, shirt, and broke the skin a tad. Never again shot at that I beam[B)]

    I think it is more likely that the piece that hit him was from a rock or something other than the bullet.

    Also my buddy was once shooting at a different I-beam than the one I mentioned above with a .222. What happened (what we think happened) is it was making pretty nice size craters in the real thick steal and a round caught a crater sending it straight back and catching him in the gut. Had to rush him to the ER. S.O.B bled all over my car..........He turned out all right.

    Funny thing is the local PD thought I shot him and were telling him, come on kid you can tell us, it will be all right, he will never know. It was a trip
