Call Of Duty 4

I know theres a few gamers on here, but any one else get the COD 4 beta DL? Its not available anymore, its fully playable on line, and it features such guns as the M16A4, M4A1, MP5, M14, AK47, RPD, M249, and a nice selection of handguns. The A4 has peep sights on it. But you can unlock the red dot, and another one. Very good game, should be able to hold me over until they release the full version in stores.

    I play COD2, usually the online "capture the flag" mode. Seen the site for COD4 but did not download the beta version. Have they released the PC Requirements for COD4 yet?

    COD3 is only available for PS3 and Xbox360

    Looks fun, and I'm excited about it (have it pre ordered at the store). Something that bugs me though, as with most video games involving guns, the guns eject on the left hand side. Now, I have no problem with left hand guns, but as a shooter, I know that if you are right handed and shooting a left handed gun (specifically a semi auto) there is a good chance of hot brass in the face. I suppose I'll get over it though.

    Not sure on the PC requirements, but check out CharlieOscarDelta.com, its the official site for it. Halo 3 comes out in 8 days, but i think its gonna be weak plus instead of the usual 60 bucks plus tax, theyre chargins 80 bucks plus tax, which is Bull, im glad ive never been a fan of halo.

    I've been playing online games for longer than I've been able to buy a gun and I'm in my mid/late 30s..

    How about some old school stuff? We'll keep it graphical for you younguns' :)

    Say... quakeworld. Right. Classic Quake 1.

    I'll provide the server on a massive backbone.

    It will take me 2 or 3 days to get set up to play again, but QuakeWorld in GL under Linux is Quake the way John Carmack meant it to be...

    I'm not a fan of the CoD series - too arcadey for my tastes. I do, however, love Red Orchestra: Ostfront for the PC. Nothing like sitting hull down, in defilade, in a Panther tank, while listening to Soviet tank rounds just bounce off the turret [}:)]

    i never got to into arcade system games for PC, i played Counter Strike on PC a couple times, i hated it, i do like to play Texas Hold em poker on here, and starcraft, but other than that i like the feel of the controler and its just easier for me on the Xbox 360.

    OK ladies and gentleman, I have been playing the single player mode for the last 4 hours. I have to say that it might be one of the better single player first hand shooters ever. Not just saying that, but that is from playing COD, battlefield, ect. Its good, its hard and AI seems intelligent. I didn't play online and I don't know how well I will be able to as I currently only have 3mb service. I will probably try tomorrow.

    Graphics are really good. Sound is ok to good. I was running settings on full, so things can vary.

    System requirements on the box are.

    2.4 ghz P4, AMD 2800+, intel and AMD dual core of 1.8 ghz
    512mb ram in XP and 768Mb in Vista
    Nivdia 6600 or better or ATI 9800 pro or better
    direct x 9.0c
    8 gigs of free hard drive space [:0]

    multiplayer requirements just say broadband, but no speed.


    Oh and you should probably have a DVD drive because when I went to buy my copy thats all they had.

    You didn't like CS? How? Its the most popular multiplayer first hand shooter ever. I think they sold more copies or hand more pirated then all the BF series' combined. [:D] There still CS servers running, after 7 or 8 years.

    Shoff, i also hated all the Halos, i like halo 3 for a bout a week, because it was much better than the 2 before it, but it pales in comparison to COD4.

    I never liked the Halo series either.
